Record Ghana Premier League holders, Asante Kotoko have reportedly expressed interest in signing FIFA U-20 World Cup winner, Gladson Awako.
The 32-year-old will leave Hearts of Oak, a club he joined two seasons ago from Great Olympics in a protracted deal.
He captained the side briefly following the departure of substantive skipper, Fatawu Mohammed.
Awako is not part of Hearts of Oak’s new look technical team led by Dutch trainer, Réné Hiddink and must look elsewhere for pastures.
Asante Kotoko are currently led by returnee, Prosper Narteh Ogum and former Black Stars coach, James Kwasi Appiah on interim basis.
