Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Amoah has parted ways with Portuguese top-flight side Vitória Guimarães SC in this summer transfer window.
The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) product, who joined the Portuguese elite division side in 2014, has brought his nine-year old marriage to a close at the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques.
The 29-year-old took to his lnstagram page to announce his departure this summer as it reads via A bola:
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity given to me to sign a professional contract and to play for this great club. I appreciate the support and guidance from Management and the coaches I worked with, who taught me a lot as a player and as a person.
“I would also like to thank the medical department for the care and attention it has always given me. To my teammates, thank you for your support and encouragement throughout my time here. It was an honor to play alongside such talented people.
“Finally, I would like to thank the fans for their love and support. Your passion was truly inspiring and made my time at Vitória unforgettable.”
Since joining Vitória SC as a budding star and graduated to the senior ranks, Amoah featured in 30 league games for his side owing series of injury setbacks.
He is yet to earn his international cap with Ghana on the international stage.
