Red Bull Salzburg midfielder, Lawrence Agyekum says he would prefer to play for Ghana over Nigeria.
Agyekum has a Ghanaian father and a Nigerian mother and that makes him eligible to play for both countries.
The 19-year-old spoke to Radio Gold Sports.
“I started my career in Ghana, I have lived 90 percent of my life in Ghana so definitely I would love to play for Ghana.
“But if the chance from Nigeria comes and the chance from Ghana doesn’t come then we will see.
“It is a joy to play for your national team, your mother country.
“Every player’s dream is to one day play for his national team, to wear the national team jersey, to sing the national anthem.
“It is a great joy to see the supporters cheering from the stands in the local languages.” Lawence Agyekum told Radio Gold Sports.
