Ghana Premier League club, Hearts of Oak could temporarily abandon the idea of appointing a head coach for next season’s football campaign.
The Phobians, who began pre-season weeks ago, already have a Technical Director, Rene Hiddink in place with the head coach role still vacant.
Veteran Tunisia trainer, Khalil Abid has been linked to the club but the record FA Cup holders are yet to officially state their position on the experienced gaffer.
Reports reaching Africa-foot.com indicate that, the club’s hierarchy are happy with the work rate of the Dutch trainer, Hiddink and would want him to handle the side for the start of the 2023/24 BetPawa Premier League before a final decision to name a head coach is taken.
The Phobians will open their campaign with an away game against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in September.
