AS Vita Club have been handed a big blow by the World Football Governing Body, FIFA.
FIFA has sanctioned the Congolese club for unlawfully terminating the contract of Mali striker, Ismaila Diarra.
Vita Club have been ordered to settle an amount of $45,000 to the Malian forward whose contract was wrongfully terminated in March, 2023.
As part of the sanction by FIFA on Vita Club, the Kinshasa based side can not sign new players from now until a decision is taken.
AS Vita Club is one of the most successful teams of the DR Congo, having won many national and international titles.
They have claimed the Linafoot 15 times and the Congo Cup on 9 occasions.
They have one Congo Super Cup in the wardrobe having clinched the title in 2015.
They won the African Cup of Champions Club now the CAF Champions League in 1973.
