Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen says he felt really sad when the club was battling relegation last season.
The Phobians encountered a patchy campaign last term where they finished 12th with 46 points.
Aziz Nurudeen, who didn’t play a part in the last campaign due to injury, talked about those sad moments in an interview with the club’s media.
“It is sad especially when your team is sinking. Not only when you are not playing because I wasn’t part and I sometimes watch from stadium or watch from home and my team is sinking.
“It’s sad that I can’t do anything about it because I am injured. It was a very sad moment but I am back now to help them so let’s see how it goes.” Abdul Aziz Nurudeen told Hearts of Oak media.
Hearts of Oak will open their 2023/24 BetPawa Premier League campaign away to Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in September.
