Former Medeama midfielder, Joseph Tetteh Zutah says the club is not under any form of pressure partaking in their first ever CAF Champions League.
The Mauve and Yellow will make their debut against another first timers, Remo Stars of Nigeria in the first leg of the preliminary encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, August 20.
Zutah, 28, who captained the side for a period spanning six seasons, spoke to Radio Gold Sports.
“The CAF inter-club competition we have played before so we are not new to the terrain and it doesn’t put much pressure on us irrespective of the fact that we are playing home first before traveling to Nigeria.
“We are aware of the opponent and we have done a couple of checks on them and we know that financially they have the backing and they play good football but that notwithstanding our men are equally up to the task, hopefully we will deliver.
“We are not putting any pressure on the club neither are we putting pressure on the players. They know the competition they are in and they hope to make names for themselves individually and for the club as well.” Joseph Tetteh Zutah told Radio Gold Sports.
