Ghana coach Chris Hughton will in the coming days announce his squad for the Black Stars final game in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifications.
The Black Stars will be tackling Central African Republic in the last round of the qualifiers on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the Baba Yara Stadium, with both sides seeking a qualification for next year’s tournament.
According to reports in the local media, the former Premier League manager will announce at least a 26-man squad for the crucial game against CAR.
Meanwhile, the Ghana FA has arranged a friendly match for the Black Stars against the Lone Stars.
The four-time African champions will host Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium five days after the AFCON qualifier against CAR.
As part of preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifications and AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast, the Ghana FA has already secured two high profile friendlies for the national team.
The Black Stars are scheduled lock horns with Mexico on October 14 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte before taking on USA on October 17 in America.
