French Ligue 1 club, Stade Rennes are on the verge of losing key player, Jeremy Doku after selling Croatia international midfielder, Lavro Majer to Wolfsburg and midfielder, Lesley Ugochokwu to Chelsea.
Doku, 21, has been on the radar of Manchester City with the English Premier League club reportedly looking at tying the Belgium international to a 5-year contract.
But another Premier League club, West Ham United has shown a strong interest in Jeremy Doku.
According to information, despite the situation at a standstill regarding the transfer of Lucas Paqueta, the Hammers have still started to negotiate with Rennes for the winger.
A first offer has been made by the London club but that has been refused by Rennais who will not sell off their player at a low price.
Rennes are waiting for a sum of around 55 million euros to release their player and will therefore wait for West Ham to line up with a suitable sum or look elsewhere for a bigger offer for the player of Ghanaian descent.
The Hammers therefore want to step up a gear as negotiations for Mohamed Kudus continue and the club are still looking for a pivot striker.
