Ghana Premier League champions, Medeama SC are faced with an arduous task of qualifying for the next round of the 2023/24 CAF Champions League.
The Mauve and Yellow managed a slim 1-0 win over Nigeria club, Remo Star in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium last Sunday.
The return encounter is set for te Ikene Stadium in Abuja on Sunday, August 27 and spokesperson for the two time Ghana FA Cup holders, Patrick Akoto admits there is room to improve ahead of the game.
“There are rooms for improvement, we need to work more on the boys, the condition of the boys.
“We played against a team that has been very competitive, a team that lost its last game somewhere in February.
“And this was Niger and Ghana affair, let’s see what happens when we go to Nigeria.” Patrick Akoto told Radio Gold Sports.
The winner of the two legs will face Guinean powerhouse, Horoya Athletic Club in the next round.
