Emmanuel Yeboah, the forward for Brøndby IF, is being considered for a potential call-up to the Black Stars squad in preparation for their upcoming match against the Central African Republic (CAR), as per Kickgh report.
Impressive performances by the former CFR Cluj player at the U23 AFCON tournament in Morocco have captured the attention of Black Stars coach Chris Hughton.
Hughton is set to announce his squad for the crucial AFCON qualifier against CAR, and there is speculation that Yeboah could secure a spot in the squad for the first time in his career.
The decisive match for the Black Stars is scheduled to be held at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 7. Both teams are aiming to secure qualification for the tournament to be held in Ivory Coast in January 2024. Ghana only requires a single point to secure their place in the tournament.
Known by the nickname “99 Ideas,” Yeboah recently completed a move to Brøndby IF after delivering standout performances for CFR Cluj and the Black Meteors.
The highly-rated attacker gained recognition following his exceptional display for the Black Meteors during the AFCON U23 tournament, where Morocco emerged as the victors.
Despite the Black Meteors’ challenges in the tournament, Yeboah shone brightly, netting three goals in three games.
