Veteran Ghana coach, Abdul Karim Zito has expressed his excitement over the development of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Emmanuel Essiam and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
The trio were key members of Zito’s that won the 2021 AFCON U-20 in Mauritania.

The three players have risen to an appreciable level in their various routes – Barnieh at FC Zurich, Essiam at FC Basel and the recent loan switch of Issahaku from Sporting Club of Portugal to English Championship side, Leicester City.
Karim Zito spoke to Radio Gold Sports: “I’m very happy because this is the only thing I feel proud of and always happy to see any time Black Stars line up at least I will get one, two or three players that have passed through me before and that is the only thing that I am happy about.

“Because at the end of the day, everybody will be judged by the knowledge God gave to you, what did you do with it.

“The money God gave to you, what did you do with it? So the knowledge God gave to me is to change the lives of these young ones through football and I am doing it to the best of my ability.
“So I am very happy if I hear these boys performing in Europe.” Karim Zito told Radio Gold Sports.
Essiam moved from Berekum Chelsea to Basel, Issahaku joined Sporting from Dreams fc with Barnieh crossing to Zurich from Hearts of Oak.
