The enviable feat earned them an automatic Super Cup under the tutelage of former coach, Samuel Boadu.
Continental campaign was however far from impressive after exiting the CAF Champions League at the final qualifying stage to African powerhouse, Wydad Athletic Club.
A drop down to the second tier competition, the CAF Confederation Cup equally prescribed bitters pills for the fans – after Algeria side, JS Saoura kicked the 2004 CAF Confederation Cup out of the competition.
